Heavy Gore-Tex Tenara® HTR 138 thread, which is unaffected by exposure to UV rays, chemicals, salt water, dirt and sweat. This extreme durability and ease of use make Tenara desirable for jewelry applications of stringing, knotting, braiding, crocheting and leather wrapping.
I'm currently experimenting with Tenara, finding that it knots easily, drapes nicely, doesn't fray and has a smooth, slick finish which is easy on the fingers. A whole spool cost about $120-$130, so I'm offering it to you in affordable lengths. Please let me know how you use this in your jewelry designs! I'll be adding photos of my creations soon.

Construction: PTFE 3-ply bonded fibers, does not fray, use with jewelers glue
Tenara thread is also used widely in the marine industry for sewing sails and for outdoor upholstery as it is unaffected by UV rays. NASA spacesuits are made of this thread! It is only offered in a few colors and thicknesses, which can be added if there is an interest.

what a good idea this is to sell something that I would never otherwise be able to use. I'm not a big thread fan so I wasn't gonna pay over 100 bucks. this seller is one of the few legit sellers of this, anywhere online. You can tell by personal notes in packages, she's a very nice lady too. thank you
